Babcock & Wilcox Canada Ltd., a Cambridge-based engineering and service firm of about 800 employees serving nuclear and industrial power clients, needed to ensure strict procedural compliance for field technicians working on customer sites. The company’s largely paper-based training was logistically difficult, hard to track, and provided no reliable measure of training effectiveness—creating audit and safety risks for a highly regulated industry.

B&W Canada implemented D2L’s Brightspace web-based learning platform, using integrated quizzes, anytime/anywhere access, and connections to existing data systems to automate workflows and training records.
