A D2L Brightspace Case Study
East Texas A&M University (ETAMU) needed a more accessible, affordable way to expand its competency-based education programs while better supporting mostly adult, remote learners and training more than 135 adjunct faculty members. To strengthen community, improve career support, and scale its student-ready approach, ETAMU turned to D2L Brightspace.
Using D2L Brightspace, ETAMU built a foundation for online learning, launched the CID Studio onboarding portal, and added podcast and microlearning options for faculty development. The results include support for nearly 500 graduates annually, 2,400 graduates since 2019, an 82% retention rate, and program completion in just over one year on average—more than 50% faster than traditional three-year programs.
