Deakin University - Customer Case Study

Deakin University, a leading Australian university with many online and part-time learners, needed a more equitable way to help psychology students practice interviewing skills and receive consistent formative feedback. Traditional in-class practice meant feedback quality varied by tutor, class time was limited, and online students often missed out on the same learning experience. Deakin University used D2L Brightspace to address this challenge.

D2L Brightspace supported an interactive interview simulation where students could choose questions, see simulated responses, and get real-time feedback at any time. The result was a more than 40% increase in student access to the resource, improved average marks from Credit to Distinction, and about 24 hours saved per trimester for tutors. D2L Brightspace helped make learning more engaging, accessible, and consistent for all students.
