Campus Living Centres, Canada’s largest operator of post-secondary student housing, needed a more efficient, scalable way to onboard and train a highly seasonal student staff workforce. When the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted in-person training, the team turned to D2L Brightspace to replace a confusing mix of digital tools and support a more consistent learning experience.

D2L Brightspace helped Campus Living Centres launch a centralized, self-paced onboarding platform with interactive modules, hands-on learning tasks, partner content, and discussion tools. The results included a 45% increase in course completion rates, rising from 62% to 90%, a 90% quiz success rate, and 900+ discussion threads in the first four months of the 2024–2025 academic year, while also improving staff confidence, reducing errors, and boosting collaboration.
