The American Nurses Association (ANA), the premier U.S. professional organization representing 3.6 million registered nurses, faced fragmented continuing education delivery across eight separate LMSs, low learner engagement, and a cumbersome purchasing process. ANA sought a single, personalized portal and more interactive, modular content to improve knowledge retention and make it easier for members to find and buy courses.
ANA partnered with D2L to deploy the Brightspace learning experience platform—using Brightspace Capture, intelligent agents, polls, discussions, SCORM integration and Course Merchant e‑commerce—then redesigned courses around brain‑based and adult learning principles. The new platform now delivers 400+ courses, attracted over 4,000 new users per month (roughly double prior reach), raised Net Promoter Scores from ~5 to 8–10, and boosted course purchase conversion by about 60%.
