A D2L Brightspace Case Study
DeSales University needed a more flexible and engaging learning environment to better support students balancing classes with work, family, athletics, and accessibility needs. Its existing LMS relied too heavily on text and did not create the level of engagement the university wanted, so DeSales turned to D2L Brightspace.
D2L Brightspace replaced DeSales University’s old LMS and gave faculty new tools to redesign courses, improve accessibility, and support asynchronous learning. The transition helped DeSales expand flexible online and hybrid options, and students responded positively; instructors also reported stronger course design and more engaging lessons, with the university planning to use Creator+ and Performance+ to further improve content and measure student success.
