MyCSN Modernize Their Tech Stack to Enable Smart Cities of the Future

MyCSN, a climate company initiative launched with Cipal Schaubroeck, wanted to help cities and municipalities become smarter by collecting, aggregating, and analyzing data across departments and domains. To do that at scale and at an affordable cost, it needed a modern, open, containerized architecture that could support multi-tenancy, security, and rapid deployment. D2iQ’s Mesosphere DC/OS Platform was selected as the foundation for its cloud-based PaaS.

D2iQ helped MyCSN implement a secure, automated, highly scalable platform built on Mesosphere DC/OS Platform, Kafka, AWS private cloud, and containerized services. The result was a self-healing system that can recover from a complete network outage in under 40 minutes and process up to 500,000 messages per second, enabling real-time smart city applications, secure data sharing, and faster rollout of MVPs for municipalities and cities.
