Kingston Public School District Gets More Eyes on Campus with D-Link Surveillance Solutions

Kingston Public School District in Kingston, Oklahoma needed a better surveillance system across all its campuses, including the high school’s new gymnasium/multipurpose building, to monitor for intruders, reduce vandalism, and improve student safety. Its existing analog cameras were outdated and provided poor image quality, and earlier digital options had been too expensive.

D-Link implemented an extensive IP surveillance solution with 160 initial IP cameras, SAN storage, and Video Insight video management software, with on-site installation support across four campuses. The rollout was completed in about three weeks, and the district later added 12 more cameras for a total of 172. Kingston Public School District reported immediate deterrence of mischief, lower vandalism-related repair costs, and a system that has remained about 95% maintenance-free; Bill Wolff said D-Link’s support made the whole project possible.
