A D-Link Case Study
Impact Hub Stockholm, part of the global Impact Hub coworking network, needed a better wireless setup after its existing solutions proved unsatisfactory. D-Link identified severe channel congestion in the building, where Impact Hub was using the same 2.4 GHz channel as 12 other wireless networks, and the office also lacked enough access points for its 478-square-metre space and user load. D-Link used the DWL-8610AP to address the issue.
D-Link implemented a new 802.11ac-based wireless network spanning both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, supported by five access points, two switches, and a central management system. The result was a stable, interference-free network with full coverage throughout the premises, and Impact Hub Stockholm reported wireless performance that was dramatically improved—creating a network 7 times faster than before.
