A D-Link Case Study
Holdbrook Primary School, an outstanding school serving children from deprived backgrounds, needed to improve how it used IT to support learning and assessment. Its wireless network was stretched to capacity, making it difficult for teachers to get an entire class online at the same time, and its server was also running out of capacity. The school turned to D-Link for help.
D-Link implemented a new wireless network solution built around a Gigabit unified switch with a wireless LAN controller. As a result, teachers were able to run lessons more smoothly, students became more engaged, and the school could better assess pupils through testing and tracking from nursery onward. According to the head teacher, the new network reduced wasted lesson time and made teachers more likely to use technology in class.
