Historical Landmark Gets State-of-the-Art Network with D-Link Solutions

Menger Hotel, a historic landmark, needed a cost-effective unified wired and wireless network to improve guest Internet access, support business travelers, and simplify IT management. The hotel faced poor wireless penetration through thick limestone walls, slow or inaccessible network access, and 5–10 IT trouble tickets per day. D-Link was selected to help address these challenges with a modern networking approach.

D-Link implemented a unified network using DWL-8600AP access points, DGS-3100 switches, and a DWS-4026 switch for centralized management and security. The new system delivered reliable coverage across the property, including the meeting and conference areas, and greatly reduced support issues: guest trouble tickets fell from 5–10 a day to fewer than 10 a month, while back-office IT calls dropped from about one a week to zero over two months.
