A D-Link Case Study
Dodgeland School District, a rural K-12 district in Juneau, Wisconsin, needed to upgrade its aging network so it could expand wireless access, add Smartboards, and grow its technology labs. With only one consumer-grade access point and failing network components that were costly to keep under warranty, the district turned to D-Link for a more affordable infrastructure solution.
D-Link implemented a full network upgrade using products including the DGS-3120 Gigabit xStack Managed L2 Stackable PoE Switch, DGS-6604 Managed Chassis Switch, DWS-4026 Unified Wireless Switch, DWL-8600AP access points, and DFL-1660 NetDefend UTM Firewall. The result was Gigabit performance, fiber to each closet, and built-in redundancy for failover in seconds, while saving the district thousands versus competitive solutions and freeing up budget for classroom Smartboards and larger technology labs.
