American Land Lease, a Clearwater, Florida-based real estate investment trust, faced serious business continuity challenges due to hurricane risk, power outages, data loss, and Sarbanes-Oxley reporting requirements. The company needed a reliable backup and disaster recovery approach to keep systems available and meet regulatory and data security demands, and turned to D-Link for support with its network infrastructure and storage needs.

D-Link implemented a solution built around a D-Link xStack switch and DSN-3200 iSCSI SAN at the main data center, plus another DSN-3200 iSCSI SAN at the disaster recovery site, all running with VMware ESX virtual machines. This setup improved performance, enabled fast failover without data loss, and allowed American Land Lease to get its enterprise back online quickly at the DR site if the primary data center went down, satisfying continuity and regulatory requirements at the same time.
