Infinit Technology Solutions worked with D-Link to help a distinguished university in West Virginia modernize its campus network. The university was struggling with inconsistent, easy-to-hack Linksys consumer-grade access points and needed a stronger infrastructure, including a 10-Gigabit core switch to support a high-performance computer and connect campus buildings and nearby academic institutions.
D-Link implemented a 10-Gigabit core switch, D-Link xStack Series switches, PoE head switches, and enterprise-level PoE access points. As a result, the university gained Gigabit speeds, better network control, simplified access point deployment without new power outlets, and management capabilities that save time; D-Link’s PoE switches also support growing VoIP phone and IP camera deployments.
