D-Link Unified Video Surveillance Monitors Processes at Ecoparc del Mediterrani in Barcelona

Ecoparc del Mediterrani, a Mechanical Biological Treatment (MBT) plant in Barcelona, needed better visual monitoring of its waste-processing operations. Working with D-Link, the company sought a way to watch equipment in low-visibility areas, monitor truck traffic at the plant entrance, and help prevent and diagnose potential failures in its production processes.

D-Link implemented a unified video surveillance system featuring 38 network cameras, NVRs, and a PoE network with Gigabit Smart switches and transceivers. The solution enabled early incident detection from the control room, safer remote operation of grapple cranes, and detailed monitoring of vehicles entering and leaving the site, improving operational safety and process control across the plant.
