A D-Link Case Study

Preview of the City of Williams Lake Case Study

D-Link Solutions Give City Officials in Williams Lake a Unified Wireless Network with Freedom to Roam

The City of Williams Lake needed to add wireless Internet access to its Town Hall so staff, council members, and visitors could connect from laptops and mobile phones anywhere in the building. D-Link provided the solution, helping the city move toward a unified wireless network with support from a managed Layer 2 switch and unified wireless access points.

D-Link implemented one DWS-3026 Managed Layer 2 Switch and six DWL-8500AP Unified Wireless Access Points, delivering strong signal strength and throughput within hours of installation. As a result, Town Hall staff can now roam securely on any floor with their laptops, and the system has been described as very low maintenance with no issues since final installation.
