D-Link Powers Network Transformation at Pana School District to Empower Productivity Gains

Pana Community School District partnered with D-Link to modernize a dated, decentralized network that was creating IT burdens and limiting access for students and staff. The district needed reliable wired and wireless connectivity across 11 miles of campus geography to support 1,500 students using smartboards and high-speed multimedia tools.

D-Link implemented an end-to-end network solution featuring DFL-1660 and DFL-860 Unified Threat Management (UTM) firewalls, PoE switches, wireless access points, and a Mitel VoIP phone system in a split-route Star network design. The result was centralized automation, reduced IT workload, improved productivity for teachers and students, and a solution that met the district’s goals while staying within budget.
