D-Link Participates in the Edison Project to Improve Energy Efficiency in Public Buildings

Edison Projects worked to improve energy efficiency in public buildings across Italy, where public bodies needed a way to cut energy costs without major rebuilding work or new infrastructure investments. To meet this challenge, they partnered with D-Link, using D-Link PowerLine AV 500 Wireless N Mini Starter Kits as part of a smart lighting initiative for municipal offices and schools.

D-Link’s solution connected thirty PowerLine kits within the master control units to transmit data over existing electricity networks, enabling remote monitoring of energy savings through the CPCMaster system. The result was a robust, resilient infrastructure that is expected to reduce annual electricity use for lighting by over 60% and significantly lower CO2 emissions.
