D-Link Helps Science and Technology Park in Czech Republic Achieve Stable Network With No Downtime

CAVD, the Science and Technology Park at Dobris Centre of Applied Research in the Czech Republic, needed a fast, reliable network to support Internet access, communication, data sharing, and server applications across four buildings and more than 500 network sockets. They also needed a flexible infrastructure that could adapt as participating entities and institutions changed over time, and they chose D-Link stackable managed switches to meet those requirements.

D-Link implemented a network built on DGS-1510 series L2/L3 managed switches, including DGS-1510-52, DGS-1510-28, and DGS-1510-20 models, along with D-Link Assist Services and 10G SFP+ connectivity. The solution delivered two years of operation with no network issues or downtime, while also allowing administrators to add or remove switches from a stack without interrupting service and to place stack members in different racks and buildings as needed.
