A D-Link Case Study
Royal Grammar School (RGS Worcester) needed to support a rapid rise in multimedia content and a growing number of devices accessing its network every day. D-Link worked with the school to upgrade its infrastructure, using D-Link DGS-6600 chassis switches and a DSN-6000 iSCSI SAN to provide a faster, more scalable network and storage foundation for its virtual learning environment.
With D-Link’s high-performance switching and scalable storage solution in place, RGS Worcester was able to double its network load overnight without any degradation in performance. D-Link enabled users to download or stream content without affecting the rest of the school, while improving directory speed and reducing latency so much that data access felt local; the school also noted that competitors were up to 40% more expensive on warranty, making D-Link the more cost-effective choice overall.
