A D-Link Case Study
Singularity University hosted its Summit Europe event at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Hungary and needed reliable, high-capacity Wi‑Fi for 600 attendees. D-Link was tasked with delivering continuous coverage despite thick walls and listed-building restrictions, while also separating guest access from the university’s internal network and keeping the solution flexible and scalable for future events.
D-Link implemented a unified wireless setup using a DWS-3160 Unified Wireless Switch, 20 DWL-6600AP dual-band access points, and DGS-1210-28P PoE switches. The system was installed quickly after a computer-assisted assessment, most of it permanently, with some APs movable for changing needs; it also auto-adjusted if an AP failed to maintain coverage. The result was robust, secure Wi‑Fi with no interruptions, at lower cost than alternatives.
