A D-Link Case Study
Livingston ISD, a small school district in Polk County, Texas, needed to overhaul an unreliable, poorly designed network that lacked security, proper configuration, and on-site expertise. The district also wanted to launch a 1:1 learning initiative for the next school year, but its existing wireless network was unmanaged and could not be trusted to support the added demand.
D-Link upgraded Livingston ISD’s core network with Layer 3 switches, 10 Gigabit infrastructure, PoE switches for VoIP, and new wireless access points, with D-Link experts handling the wireless installation. The result was a fully working implementation in five months, the 1:1 rollout timeline was accelerated, and more than 200 days later teachers and students were using digital learning more efficiently than before.
