D-Link Helps Dunes Manor Get High-Speed Wi-Fi With Less Cabling

D-Link helped Dunes Manor, a four-star oceanfront Victorian hotel in Ocean City, Maryland, solve a difficult connectivity challenge. The hotel wanted to provide seamless Internet access across 170 rooms on 11 floors, but running cabling throughout the property was too expensive, and the existing wireless setup only covered the lobby and banquet hall.

Using D-Link DWL-8200AP Access Points and a DFL-700 Desktop VPN Firewall, D-Link created a cable-light wireless network that extended coverage across every floor. The result was solid Wi-Fi in all 170 rooms, a better guest experience, and a competitive advantage that helped drive repeat business; Dunes Manor was so pleased they planned a separate network for internal use.
