D-Link Helps Culloden Primary School Achieve Campus-Wide Gigabit Connectivity

Levett Consultancy helped Culloden Primary School address the challenge of linking its existing and new building IT infrastructures so pupils and staff would have a consistent network experience across campus. The school also needed a scalable, future-proof setup to support 200 desktops and 400+ laptops/netbooks, while overcoming incompatible OM3 fibre between buildings and completing the overhaul with no delays. D-Link provided the networking technology for the project.

D-Link implemented DGS-3420 X-Stack switches, including 5x DGS-3420-28PC and 8x DGS-3420-52T, to create a resilient campus network with a 10-Gigabit backbone and Gigabit uplinks to each classroom. The result was improved wireless performance, much faster log-in times in both buildings, and easier network management through D-Link’s web interface. The school now has a stronger foundation for enhanced ICT-supported learning.
