D-Link Helps BT Business Direct Implement Full Surveillance with Remote Monitoring

BT Business Direct, a provider of IT equipment for businesses and consumers, needed to secure its new custom-built office after moving its mid-market sales team from an older building. The challenge was to maintain surveillance of the reception area and office under different light conditions while ensuring reliable security for the one-story site. D-Link provided the surveillance design and hardware for the project.

D-Link implemented DCS-6112 cameras connected to DNS-726-4 network video recorders, backed up to a DSN-3200 for storage, with D-Link’s DCS-100 software for centralized management. The result was full building surveillance with remote monitoring and motion-detection alerts, plus up to 90 days of local HD 720p recording. BT Business Direct also highlighted the efficient implementation, with one cable running back to one switch and the system remotely managed to avoid overheads.
