D-Link Gigabit Switching Upgrade Improves Back Up Times by 700% for Caldwell County

Caldwell County, a local government in Lockhart, TX, needed to modernize its aging network as offices digitized public records and data files grew larger. Its existing Cisco router could not handle traffic above 10 Mbps, and the county’s five offices were using inconsistent networking equipment, making backups slow and inefficient. D-Link provided the networking upgrade needed to support the county’s growing data demands.

D-Link helped Caldwell County upgrade its five offices to Gigabit speed and configured the DGS-3627 routing table so the county’s main buildings could communicate at up to 100 Mbps. As a result, backup times dropped from 14 days to 2 days, a 700% improvement, while also improving connection speeds and enabling more efficient information sharing across offices.
