D-Link Creates 2-in-1 Solution for Kuwait Petroleum Italia
Kuwait Petroleum Italia (Q8), a major fuel distributor in Italy, faced two distinct challenges: providing advanced connectivity for its proprietary gas stations and adding an effective surveillance solution to its product catalog. To address these, they worked with D-Link on a solution involving networking and security products.
D-Link implemented its DES-3200-28 managed switch to handle all local IT services at the gas stations, including pump control and payment systems. For surveillance, they provided DCS-7513 and DCS-7010L cameras, which served as both a deterrent and a training tool. As a result, D-Link helped the client see a decrease in anti-social activity and an increase in peace of mind, leading to repeated orders for the networking equipment. The project revenue was 500,000 Euro.
