City of Casa Grande keeps 358 miles current with Cyvl

The City of Casa Grande, a fast-growing municipality, faced the challenge of keeping pace with constant private development and holding developers and utility companies accountable for the condition in which they left public roads. The city lacked current records and could not accurately track its infrastructure. To address this, the city partnered with Cyvl to implement its LiDAR-based data collection and asset inventory services.

Cyvl's solution involved conducting three full network scans and two asset inventories annually across all 358 miles of road. This provided the city with always-current data, which was used to overlay planned work against pavement condition indices. The impact included settling disputes with data instead of debate, creating a fairer market by tracing damage to the responsible party, and establishing a baseline for ADA compliance. Cyvl enabled the city to manage its infrastructure proactively and hold third parties accountable.
