Brink’s, the world’s leading armored-transport provider with over 1,000 facilities in 100 countries, relied on an aging IT footprint at its Coppell, Texas headquarters to run critical cash-processing, ATM, CompuSafe® and Global Services applications for roughly 200 branch offices. As data processing needs grew, Brink’s needed a more secure, reliable and scalable data center environment with room and power to expand, carrier-neutral connectivity, strong physical security, and separate facilities to host disaster recovery operations.

Brink’s selected CyrusOne’s Dallas facility as its primary North American IT footprint and CyrusOne’s Phoenix site for disaster recovery, completing an aggressive migration timeline with onsite CyrusOne support. The solution delivered 100% SLA-backed redundant power and cooling, dedicated site-to-site connectivity (two 1 GB links), biometric and steel-wall physical protections, and faster DR deployment. The move improved uptime and security, enabled scalable consolidation of additional regional footprints, and gave Brink’s confidence to support future cloud/IaaS initiatives and to demonstrate infrastructure security to customers.
