Beamery, a talent lifecycle management platform serving enterprises like Amazon and DocuSign, faced growing pains as it scaled from a startup “ship fast” approach to a need for mature, reliable releases. Their Selenium-based framework was usable by only a few automation experts, QA had over 6,000 manual tests queued, and major release stabilization took 3–4 weeks. Cypress was rolled out across teams to replace disparate frameworks and centralize UI, API and accessibility testing, enabling frontend and backend engineers to contribute to automation. As a result, Beamery now runs 215,000 tests per month with Cypress, cut their manual regression suite by more than 50%, shrank stabilization to a predictable 7–8 days (about 70% faster), saved roughly 20 days per month through parallelization, and reduced test run times to ~30 minutes (a 94% improvement over manual testing).
