RBI Validates and Optimizes SIEM Detection with Cymulate

Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI), the Vienna‑headquartered banking group, struggled to continuously validate its SIEM detections and maintain readiness against emerging threats—manual testing and historical‑log analysis left new detection rules untested and incident‑response exercises hard to run. RBI evaluated detection‑validation vendors and selected the Cymulate platform (breach-and-attack simulation, BAS Advanced Scenarios, Automated Network Pen Testing/Hopper) to address these gaps.

Using Cymulate, RBI generates realistic telemetry to validate SIEM rules, run customizable incident‑response drills, and operationalize the MITRE ATT&CK framework via the Cymulate heatmap. The implementation let RBI validate new detections with a few clicks, visualize coverage gaps for targeted remediation, improve stakeholder reporting, and streamline ongoing security benchmarking and support.
