International Retail Company, an international retailer with 200 locations worldwide and 5,000 endpoints, suffered a breach that led to the theft of millions of credit card numbers. After being notified by the United States Secret Service, the company engaged Cylance to identify the source of the compromise and remediate the incident.
Cylance deployed its Compromise Assessment Tool across more than 5,000 nodes within hours and quickly traced the breach to an infected employee laptop carrying ZeroAccess malware. Cylance then deployed CylancePROTECT enterprise-wide, replacing Symantec and Bit9, to block the malware found during incident response and help prevent future malware threats.
