Case Study: IDC strengthens endpoint security and reduces risk with Cylance

IDC, a large worldwide casual dining restaurant chain with several hundred U.S. locations, turned to Cylance after a point-of-sale breach exposed weaknesses in its security approach. The company needed to secure critical POS terminals, corporate workstations, and servers while moving security from a technical task to a top-down risk management program.

CylancePROTECT was deployed after the breach and rolled out to about 7,000 endpoints, with consulting support to configure it quickly and with minimal disruption. IDC said the solution helped reduce administrative burden, support compliance, and lower risk, while enabling a move from 60 internal resources to 10 in about a year and a half; the ISO also said there have been no security incidents where CylancePROTECT has been installed.
