A Cylance Case Study
Financial Company, a $40 billion multi-national private equity, investment banking, alternative asset management, and financial services corporation based in New York City, needed to determine whether its systems had already been compromised and reduce the manual work involved in reviewing potential threats. It had security tools in place across 3,000 global hosts in 21 locations worldwide, but could not tell if threats were dormant or had bypassed existing defenses.
Cylance performed a full Compromise Assessment across the company’s servers, desktops, and laptops, then rolled out CylancePROTECT enterprise-wide. Cylance found evidence of compromise, including hacking tools, vulnerabilities left by third-party penetration testers six months earlier, and malware that had gone undetected for three years; it also reduced antivirus costs and cut the time three security analysts spent on alert review from nine hours total per day to 1.5 total hours.
