Specialty Animal Nutritional Products Plant produces 8,000 pounds per hour with Cybertrol Engineering

Specialty Animal Nutritional Products Plant, a producer of specialty animal nutritional products, needed to build a highly automated new facility to meet growing demand while operating with a very small, targeted staff. The challenge for Cybertrol Engineering was to implement automation for bulk receiving, batching, drying, and packaging with a minimal maintenance team that had limited system expertise.

Cybertrol Engineering designed and implemented a flexible recipe management, scheduling, and batch execution system. This solution allowed for configurable recipes and procedures, enabled different recipes to run simultaneously, and eliminated the need for PLC code changes when using new ingredients. The plant is now a fully functional, low-cost producer of over 200 different recipes, meeting its production goal of 8,000 pounds per hour while operating with its targeted small staff.
