Preview of the Cheese Manufacturer Case Study

a cheese manufacturer modernizes plantwide controls in 36 hours with Cybertrol Engineering

A major cheese manufacturer faced significant operational challenges due to obsolete control systems that had become a complex "ball of band-aids." Their three PLCs with 14 racks of I/O were at full capacity, preventing expansion, and HMI performance was critically slow. Cybertrol Engineering was engaged to modernize the systems and improve functionality while minimizing downtime.

Cybertrol Engineering implemented a comprehensive solution, beginning with a new virtualized industrial data center and a redundant network. They executed a rapid hardware upgrade during a 36-hour shutdown using special conversion kits to avoid rewiring. Following the successful restart, Cybertrol then completely rewrote all PLC and HMI code to new standards. This allowed the plant to resume production quickly and enabled a controlled, non-disruptive rollout of the new code over subsequent months, resulting in modernized and improved operations.
