University of Westminster - Customer Case Study

The University of Westminster, a large London-based education institution, needed a better way to manage identities across a fast-changing user base of about 70,000 student accounts, 5,000 permanent staff accounts, and up to 2,000 temporary staff accounts. To keep access secure and efficient across dozens of academic and administrative systems, the university turned to CyberRes’s NetIQ Identity Manager and NetIQ Access Manager.

CyberRes implemented Identity Manager to synchronize identities across multiple directories, create common credentials, and automatically provision accounts for students and staff in the right systems, including cloud-based services like Blackboard. The result was major time and cost savings through automated onboarding and offboarding, reduced manual paperwork, and the ability to provision 10,000 accounts in a single weekend while maintaining consistent, secure access across nearly all university systems.
