University of Groningen - Customer Case Study

The University of Groningen partnered with **CyberRes** to modernize identity and access management as cloud services expanded and the number of applications grew beyond 70 for students and staff. With more than 5,000 new students each year and a need to simplify access across many systems, the university sought a better way to provision accounts and eliminate multiple usernames and passwords. It used **NetIQ Identity Manager** and **NetIQ Access Manager** to support this effort.

**CyberRes** implemented automated, federated identity management and single sign-on through NetIQ Identity Manager and NetIQ Access Manager, enabling secure access to both internal and cloud-based applications. The result was a single system for managing identity and access rights, improved self-service, and personalized access for users. The university now authenticates over **one million SSO sessions per month**, giving students and employees faster, more secure access with minimal manual effort.
