A CyberRes Case Study
Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN), an independent not-for-profit healthcare network in Ontario, needed a faster, more secure way to onboard and manage access for thousands of healthcare providers while complying with strict privacy and security requirements. Manual provisioning was taking over an hour per user, and OTN wanted a scalable identity and access management approach that could support both modern and legacy applications. CyberRes provided NetIQ Identity Manager and NetIQ Access Manager to address these needs.
CyberRes implemented an event-driven identity and access solution that automated onboarding, role-based provisioning, single sign-on, and deprovisioning across OTN’s systems, with federated workflows and real-time updates instead of batch processing. The results were significant: user provisioning time dropped from about one hour to less than one minute, access control became more efficient and secure, and OTN achieved full compliance with security and data privacy legislation, with ROI reached within four years.
