London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine - Customer Case Study

The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, a global health education and research institution, was struggling to create student and staff accounts quickly and accurately with a small IT team. The manual process for onboarding hundreds of new students each year took up to a month for one staff member and also made access to applications slow and cumbersome. To address this, the School worked with CyberRes using NetIQ Identity Manager and NetIQ Access Manager.

CyberRes implemented automated account provisioning and single sign-on. NetIQ Identity Manager now creates and deletes accounts automatically based on student records, while NetIQ Access Manager provides one secure login for applications and web resources. The result was near-instant account creation, fewer errors, less helpdesk pressure, improved security, and a major reduction in manual administration—cutting a process that once took a full month down to practically zero manual effort.
