Bancomext, a state-owned bank in Mexico, needed to modernize identity management as it expanded its products and comply with government regulations requiring a single solution for electronic resources in online banking. The bank also wanted to reduce the complexity and security risks of managing multiple usernames, passwords, and access schemes across its systems. CyberRes provided NetIQ Identity Manager and NetIQ Access Manager to address these needs.
CyberRes helped Bancomext automate user provisioning, password management, role-based access, and single sign-on with multi-factor authentication. As a result, account setup time was reduced by 66% from two days to a couple of hours, and IT helpdesk calls dropped by 15% thanks to self-service password resets. The new identity platform also improved security and helped Bancomext meet regulatory requirements more effectively.
