Connecticut Water, a utility serving more than 360,000 people in Connecticut and Maine, faced limited endpoint visibility across its 500 endpoints—including systems that control industrial processes—and could not detect signature-less or fileless attacks with its existing stack (firewall, antivirus, Carbon Black, Cylance). The small security team needed an easy-to-use endpoint detection and response (EDR) solution, and after testing selected Cybereason.

Cybereason was deployed across all 500 endpoints in a hybrid cloud/on‑prem configuration to protect corporate machines and industrial control system PCs. Cybereason provided behavioral detection of signature-less threats, richer forensics and automated threat hunting, enabling analysts to find issues in about 30 minutes instead of two hours, accelerate remediation, and proactively protect critical water‑treatment systems.
