Leading International Airport - Customer Case Study

Leading International Airport, one of the world’s 10 busiest airports with over 50,000 employees and dozens of SCADA/OT systems, faced an “insecure-by-design” IT/OT environment—flat architecture, unpatched legacy systems, exposed remote maintenance channels and high-value targets for APTs. To secure its critical operations (baggage handling, electricity, climate control, AirTrain, etc.), the airport engaged Cyberbit and deployed the SCADAShield OT security platform.

Cyberbit used SCADAShield to create a real-time asset map, run an extensive vulnerability audit, and remediate high-risk items without disrupting operations—patching devices, hardening protocols, upgrading software and segmenting networks per the Purdue model. Cyberbit’s continuous scanning, automated policy enforcement and 7-layer DPI delivered real-time visibility, detection of known and zero-day threats, and ongoing OT change management, measurably improving the airport’s mass transportation management across routing, baggage handling and check-in while significantly reducing exposure to advanced persistent threats.
