A CyberArk Case Study
SBA Communications, a leading independent owner and operator of wireless communications infrastructure, faced mounting identity and access challenges as it adopted more SaaS apps. An initial Microsoft AD FS deployment cost about $35,000 and proved difficult to implement and integrate, requiring external consultants and creating two live AD FS environments after a platform migration. The complexity, resource drain and emerging MDM and SOX compliance requirements made building a costly disaster-recovery co-location and ongoing management untenable.
SBA replaced its AD FS infrastructure and opted for CyberArk Identity instead of Cisco’s Meraki MDM, consolidating identity management and simplifying app integration. The move eliminated the need for a high-cost DR build-out, reduced operational overhead, addressed MDM and SOX requirements, and strengthened the company’s security posture while streamlining administration.
