Maximus Implements Pam as a Service to Create an Efficient and Strategic Rollout

MAXIMUS, a government services company undergoing a cloud-first digital transformation, needed a stronger privileged access management (PAM) approach after its older solution proved highly customized, hard to integrate, and unable to handle complex use cases. With a small security team and limited resources, MAXIMUS turned to CyberArk and CyberArk Privileged Access Manager to support a faster, more scalable rollout.

CyberArk helped MAXIMUS implement PAM as a service with strong support, change management, and step-by-step onboarding of key user groups. The company went from zero to live in two weeks, secured all domain administrators in three months, protected Windows servers in six months, and enrolled all Linux administrators by eight months. Around 350 users were onboarded, access was reduced for about half of users, and MFA plus credential rotation significantly improved security and compliance.
