A CyberArk Case Study
Finansbank, a leading consumer bank founded in Turkey in 1987 with operations in 10 countries, 460+ branches and more than 10,200 employees, faced major IT security and compliance challenges from a highly manual privileged password process. Passwords for core systems were stored in about 200 paper envelopes, requests were issued by hand, resets were slow (over 30 minutes in emergency scenarios), and audit/reporting capabilities were limited, impeding scalability and increasing operational risk.
Working with ErCon, Finansbank deployed CyberArk’s Privileged Account Security Solution (including Enterprise Password Vault) to move passwords into electronic vaults, integrate with ArcSight and RSA tokens, and automate request-approve workflows with dual control and a MasterKey for rapid approvals. The rollout centralized management of 3,108 privileged accounts across 86 virtual vaults, created a fully automated 24/7 password lifecycle, improved authentication, reporting and audits, and materially reduced operational, audit and security risk.
