College of Policing achieves 96% accessibility score with Cyber-Duck

The College of Policing, the professional body for police in England and Wales, faced a challenge with its fragmented digital estate of micro-sites. These sites had an inconsistent brand identity and outdated design, which hindered user satisfaction. The College needed to consolidate these into a single, accessible, and user-friendly platform to serve as a central information hub. They selected Cyber-Duck to undertake this digital transformation using the Drupal CMS.

Cyber-Duck designed and built a new, consolidated Drupal platform, focusing on user research, a new content strategy, and a refreshed UI. The solution included a powerful Algolia-based search function to index content from multiple sources. The new website achieved a 100 Google Lighthouse score and a 96% independent accessibility audit score against WCAG 2.1 AA. It passed a Home Office service assessment on the first try and successfully modernized the College's digital presence, providing a trusted resource for the policing community.
