Major Restaurant needed a more relevant way to communicate with customers based on the market they were in. The chain had found through testing that localized email campaigns with local offers and content drove higher engagement and store visits, but its corporate creative teams did not have the bandwidth to create emails for every market, creating both a resource challenge and a quality-control issue. Customer Portfolios was brought in to help address that need.

Using Customer Portfolios’ MALL application, the restaurant franchises executed emails with dynamic content targeted to specific geographic markets. Working within the existing architecture, Customer Portfolios enabled the chain to insert local content and deliver reporting to National Sales & Marketing, local agency partners, and individual franchises. The program drove increased store visits and produced 4X higher open rates than emails without localized content.
