Student Volunteer Army builds a scalable volunteer platform with Custom D, serving students from primary school through university

The Student Volunteer Army, a New Zealand-based movement, needed a scalable social infrastructure platform to streamline communication, reduce administrative burdens, and support its nationwide growth. They partnered with vendor Custom D to develop a mobile and web application to meet this challenge.

Custom D built a cross-platform mobile app and web app integrated via a centralized database and API. The solution allows organizers to quickly create activities and enables volunteers to self-organize, creating a record of their service. This scalable platform has positioned the SVA to become the largest database of volunteering in Aotearoa and led to them winning the NZ High Tech Awards 'Impact for Good' category.
