La Jolie Ronde launches streaming audio for 1,260 pupils and 531 teachers with Cursor
La Jolie Ronde, a leading UK-based provider of children's French and Spanish language classes, faced the challenge of delivering audio resources as CD usage declined in homes and schools. After other platforms proved unviable, they approached Cursor to develop a modern streaming solution to replace their physical CDs.
Cursor designed and built a cross-platform mobile app and a web-based media player using Craft CMS. This allowed students and teachers to register, unlock content with codes from their books, and stream or download audio for offline use. The solution was an immediate success; within three months of launch, over 1,260 pupils and 531 teachers used the platform, listening to over 27,000 audio resources. Most importantly, CD sales dropped significantly, achieving La Jolie Ronde's goal of migrating from physical media and reducing distribution costs.
